Coconut oil is good to maintain the body weight within a healthy limit.
It burn the extra fat and develop the muscle rather than increasing the cholesterol level.

| Hard to know without knowing what kind of diet you are following. Coconut oil can add weight if you are simply adding it to your diet. Most people replace polyunsaturated oils with coconut oil. Carb restriction is also important.

| My husband and I started taking coconut oil less than 2 weeks ago. We eat healthy, exercise, and walk 1-2 hours daily. Since beginning the coconut oil, he has gained almost 15 lbs. and I have gained 10. We have never had this happen to us (we are both fit and have never been overweight). I have put on about 5 in. in my waist. Yuck! I think we may deny ourselves the benefit of the oil and lose the weight. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening?
