hi i know that coconut is healthy Food . Coconuts, actually are very healthy for you .The weight you gained probably wasn't from the coconuts. Coconut oil actually doesn't clog arteries and doesn't go straight to your thighs. Coconut oil are a very good fat for your body, kind of like omega 3 fatty acids. They help your body's immune system and help to lower cholesterol. hopefully u've got the answer now . Best of luck

The caloric content of fats and oil are mostly the same though coconut oil is slightly lower in caloric count. In general the plant based fats are called oil.

Animal fats and butter are called "fats", but can't be called oil.
Coconut milk has lesser oil because of the water content in it.

You can browse on the following websites for coconut oil health benefits; http://www.coconutoil.com, http://www.healthimpactnews

Hello! I started taking EVCO for several days now but haven't seen too much of an improvement. I am about 20 pounds overweight.

My husband got this dog that requires a 4 mile (total) fast walk a day if not working cattle. Hey, what a great way to shed the pounds! I had to start watching what I ate and eat better because I had to keep up with her. The first walk I couldn't make it a mile. I wasn't meaning to change my lifestyle so much but I couldn't have that dog chewing up my kids things. SWEET dog and I am glad I have her. She is forcing me to get out and get healthy!!!

I started noticing my legs getting toned. I googled who to walk off more claories and someone mentioned coconut oil. One thing led to another and in less than a month I have completly changed my eating habits. It isn't that bad! I can walk 4 miles in a day and still keep up with 3 kids. BUT after all that I STILL haven't lost weight!

I started charting everything down at My Fitness Pal online to make sure I stay in check. I wasn't really worried about the calories. I have trouble meeting the 1200 cal mark! UGH! But it seems I alwasy go over by about 40 in fat! Calories, carbs, and protien are fine. Well, I can't ever meet that calorie intake. :( I keep trying though!)

My question is for those who are charting the fat intake. Do you just through the oil fat count out the window? On my plan I am allowed 40 a day. I am not sure how that is mesured but I think it is grams. Do you subtract the fat content from the oil? I take 3 TBSPS a day and have coconut milk in coffee and/or protien shakes.

For example, lets say you finish out your day with 60 OVER your allowed limit. Going back to your chart your fat content is just fine, except the oil. If you subtract the oil part you are in check.

I hope I am making sense. I guess I wonder if you should look at it that way because it is absorbed differently, yada yada yada. I know you all know what the oil fats do so no sense in repeating.

Thoughts?
