Hello: I am new to the forum and have incorporated the coconut oil into my morning protein drinks....but my question is: What is this "die off" that people are mentioning?

Thanks,
--Heather

I have been where you are and have run the gamot of trying things to become cleansed. The efforts I have made have helped immensely, but I am not completely clean, and so I, too, must keep up the search. Die-off pain in my experience does not last more than a few minutes at a time and I have not experienced it more than once every few months. Uneducated people think it is just gas or bowel cramps, but we who are fighting this condition like we are know what that pain is. You will not find relief, per say, for this because of what it is: die-off. What I know to keep consistent with is keep drinking water. Water is very important because it cleanses and hydrates. Think of it as the single most important thing one must drink. Take your weight and cut it in half and that is how much water you should drink to keep the processes of hydration and cleansing at optimum levels. If you are exposed to more extremes in sun exposure, heat, physical work, and the like, then drink more. I do not have experience with bentonite--it sounded scary when I read about it, so I never tried it. Psyllium husks is what I have experience with, and is probably in your colon cleanse. This and the right amount of water are doing what you inquire about.

Hi there

I have recently started an all-out anti-candida program, including:

DIET - Lots of green veg, avocados, coconut oil; no sugar (with the odd lapse), fungus, yeast, fruit, gluten.
PROBIOTICS
ENZYMES
SPIRULINA
ANTI-CANDIDA TABLETS (Candiclear, from Higher Nature)
Cytocleanse (a Colon Cleanser from CytoPlan)

After about 10 days of this regime, I have started feeling crampy pains in my gut. Can this be die-off?

If so, what can I do to ease it without slowing down my programme. Someone told me that drinking a bentonite clay mix could clear out the dead bacteria and relieve the symptoms - has anyone else heard about that?
