Karen: You MUST deal with stress first and foremost. Even deep breathing, mediation, a walk in fresh air, relaxing music, visualization, stretching exercises, prayer, SOMETHING to reduce your stress throughout the day.
Things I've tried to help the gut relax and heal in addition to coconut oil, may include probiotics, digestive enzymes [taken with food], systemic proteolytic enzymes [taken any time], aloe vera, kava kava, valerian root, L-Trypophan, magnesium/calcium, baking soda & water [alkalization], ACV/raw honey/water drink [I take hot water, dissolve my CalMag calcium & magnesium powder], add some ACV [acid but alkaline inside the body], some raw honey and sip it, usually after my biggest meal.
I also rub magnesium oil on myself to relax. I do this mostly at night since I tend to get foot/toe cramps. If you can, a bath with epson salts is great too.
Yes getting alkaline is vital to your entire health! Basically that means fresh foods, eaten raw or in their natural God created state, grassfed meats, pure water, etc. Plenty of info online on getting your pH alkaline.
Hope this helps a bit.

Due to work situations for months past, I have been contending with frequent gastric attacks. My stomach area feels like it's being squeezed and pulled, along with some degrees of churning. When it hits its worse, i feel like vomitting. I have been to doctors and been told it's stress-induced gastric. those antacids do not work on me at all. Been very high-strung for months due to work stress. Anyone who has advice on how to deal with this situation in the area of diet besides getting out of the toxic environment ie. quitting my job?
1) despite my frail stomach health, i'm still taking a teaspoon of VCO like twice a day. it should be ok right?
2) to get some symptomatic relief, i tend to rub alot of oil (those for stomach cramps) on my stomach. any better way?
3) my stomach since the onset of this nasty gastric problem about 4 months ago, constantly feel tight/squeezed at varying degrees. is this typical sign of gastric problem?
4) i read somewhere that it will help alkalize the body to drink a concoction of apple cider vinegar with raw honey on empty stomach first thing in the morning. ACV is acidic; will adding raw honey really turn the concoction into an alkaline fluid for the body and reduce acidity?
Many thanks for advice.
Blessings
