All store-bought Yogurt is worthless; the cultures, if heated, are dead. Try goat-milk Kefir. Dairy products shouldn't be consumed on an anti-Candida diet. Read: The Yeast Connection by Dr. William Crook, Amazon.com. Tells all about Candida, has diet recommendations and recipes that are pretty simple to follow. This book will save your life. PM Smith

I have wondered the same thing but I've come to realize that candida is something you will have to keep under control forever. I have been on the diet for over a year and I still have problems. I have just recently found out that the reason I have been a hard time is because I had stop taking black walnut and wormwood to control parasites. I'll let you know once I back on maintence for parasites if the candida is easier to control. If you have pets such as cats, dogs or any kind of bird (birds carry the most parasites) you need to do a parasite cleanse and be on a maintence as long as you have pets.
Stay away from fruits and most carbs if can. CAndida also thrives on sugar and carbohydrates. alchol, cheeses, vinegars as well.
Mainly eat veggies and proteins. Try to limit the amount of meat as well because it can turn your body acid. you want to keep your body more to the alkaline.

First this coconut oil has a great taste :)

Does anybody know how long time it takes to cure candida? Sure I have mine for a long time from antibiotics and the likes which I had a lot of since I was a child.

How do you know it is gone?

Is Candida likely to come back?

I eat mainly raw vegetable, fruit and baby coconuts.
Hope somebody can help with an answer.
Thanks

My herbalist has me on a magnesium supplement to help with this problem. I take 2-3 400 mg capsules at night with a probiotic and this has helped tremendously.

I have also been wondering the same thing. I've been drinking Keifer milk for probiotics and eating plain yogurt. I started a very low carbohydrate diet a couple weeks ago, but I found that I became constipated on it. I assume it's because I wasn't getting enough fiber. How do you get your fiber on a low carb diet?

Thanks

Maddie,
I'm not sure how low carb you are going, but beans and lentils are great sources of both types of fiber. And make sure you are getting plenty of vegetables.
The other things is that if you aren't drinking enough water, you will experience constipation fiber or not.

My herbalist has me on a magnesium supplement to help with this problem. I take 2-3 400 mg capsules at night with a probiotic and this has helped tremendously.

Fruit is sugar and sugar feeds the yeast. Stay away from any starch dairy and sweet. Read the book called Body Ecology Diet. Libraries have it. It takes much more effort and persistance to get rid of yeast.
Make the story short, you will have to stay on a pretty strict diet for life.
Wellcome to reality.
Good luck, Helen

it doesn't take long if you get some GOOD probiotics.
i think everyone should take probiotics because of the way our food is tainted nowdays.
you will be amazed at the difference in your digestion and overall health.
make sure you get a probiotic that has at least 25 billion cfu. per capsule, and that it will survive your stomach acid.
hope this helps.
