Hi. I'm Natalie. I started taking Coconut oil today. I am in the military and go back and forth between diarrhea and constipation. A year ago while deployed, I became severely constipated. They put me on Dulcolax. I stayed on it for the entire deployment (4 1/2 months). Since I have been back, I have tried several times to go off of it. I eat prunes, drink prune juice, even take fiber stuff. Nothing helps, I don't go for days and feel awful and always go back to the Dulcolax. My sister is bulemic and hooked on laxatives and told me I was too. So, I decided to find a natural way to "go". I started w/extra virgin olive oil, two days ago. It worked but was nasty tasting. Someone at the nutrition store recommended unrefined, extra virgin COCONUT oil. So I am trying that. I will keep you posted. If I lose weight on it too, all the better. I quit smoking 4 months ago at New Years and have gained 10lbs. So, the weight loss would be a very welcome side effect!!

I do, I have a hard time with constipation, for I have IBS also. I eat a lot of fruits, mainly bananas, oranges, apples, the fruits with vitamin C and Potassium. To help heal your intestinal walls, which may be the reason for your constipation, take magnesium glycinate. Try also eating more sugar foods, foods that do not have high fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated oils, eat some chocolate chip cookies, a dark chocolate bar, drink natural wholesome fruit juices. Potatoes are also high in Potassium. Black pepper also helps with constipation.

Yes, definately the VCO works wonders with constipation. This was the major reason I started taking the VCO. I've suffered from severe constipation after my youngest son was born in 1999 and was put on preion laxatives that didn't help much, but gave me alot of gas and all over the counter laxatives that aggravated my stomach even more. Not until earlier this year while reading the book "Natural Cures" Kevin Trudeau and what the book said about VCO did I try it and the next day I was going to the bathroom without a stuggle and no diarrhea. You have to be consistant with the VCO and take it in the morning as well as at night before you go to bed. I've been taking the VCO since the beginning of the year and have not suffered any symptoms of constipation. This is a miracle cure as far as I'm concerned.

Hi all.

I have IBS which is usually manifested with constipation not diarrhea. Most testimonials Ive read about VCO say it helps regulate diarrhea. Does anyone have experience with it helping constipation??

Thanks in advance.
