Rebounding isn't high impact exercise because you don't actually HIT the bottom, so to speak! I have never been a runner but a few years ago I gradually worked up to 30 minutes a day on my rebounder (started at 2 minutes) and I really enjoyed it. I bought a cheap rebounder in Target (I'm from Australia) and I still have it after 20 years. Some years it hasn't been used much but other years it has, but it's still as good as new.

I have never heard of rebounding until entering this forum tonight. I am facinated! How do I get started? Should I 'jump' right out and get the best rebounder? Will I like it? I currently like yoga and pilates but avoid high impact exercise due to bladder leakage. Can I purchase a rebounder at Walmart to try it?
Thanks for the tips, Melanie

Yes, you can get one at Walmart for $20...see if you are going to use it..then if it breaks down (my has not..and I have had it for several years) then when you purchase the next one get a more expensive one if you like or try to get the more expensive one used from someone. I got mine at Walmart and love it..but I rotate to a stationary bike and I also bike outside...so I don't use it exclusively everyday. Shawnee
