From Corinnne: SMOOTHIE
Into our Vitamix for 2 people, first I put 1 c. pure juice like DOLE, then 4 scoops Whey protein powder,
3-4 big handfuls fresh baby spinach, 1 peeled banana, 1 c. blueberries (fresh or frozen), 2 T. maple syrup (when I put in spinach), 6-8 BIG frozen strawberries.
By using frozen fruit, one doesn't dilute the smoothie with ice. Delicious and healthy. Makes about 4 c.

I love my vita mix. This blender is awsome. Every morning, I wash and cut up a organic apple, peel a organic orange, peel a organic bananna, and 1 cup frozen strawberries, i put all this in the blender. Then i add 1 tbsp coconut oil, 1 tbsp honey or substitute with 8 drops liquid stevia, 1 cup ice cubes and 1 cup steam distilled water. I blend on high until everything is smoothe approx 1 1/2 min. Nothing like it. Cold Sweet and nurishing.

I've been melting the oil first then adding it to 1 cup milk and 1 scoop carbolite protein mix but any protein shake type thing would probably work, you can crush ice with it in the blender too... the oil sorta solidifies into little balls but they go down easy LOL would be good with fruit too i am sure

By: Karen Hi- I don't know if this would be considered a smoothie recipe, but it has been my morning drink and it is an ayurvedic concoction that I added VCNO to, and enjoy. Soak overnight in a small amount of water to cover the following: 1 date (pitted), 1 tsp whole fennel, 5 cardamom pods, 5 almonds. In the morning, open the cardamom pods and take out the seeds to add to the drink, but discard the outer hulls because they are not edible. Then add 3TBS of VCNO or 3 TBS of coconut concentrate, a 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of hot water and grind all itmes in a mini grinder. Then drink....it's great for digestion...and yes, the fennel will have a little crunch to it.....sounds strange, I know, but has many health benefits. You soak everything overnight to help break down the seeds. Karen

By: Sheila Does anyone have a good smoothie recipe to share, I have never made one, let alone with the VCO. I am trying to find new ways to incorporate the VCO in my diet, I am more of a liquid person than a food person, so far it is great in hot apple cider. Boil 1 tablespoon of VCO with 8 ozs of hot water and add the packaged hot apple cider. Stir very good and it taste great.

Here is how I make mine:
Pour about 1/4 cup filtered water into cuisenart food processor. Add 1 heaping tablespoon Garden of Life Goatien(dry goats milk powder). Add 1 or 2 heaping teaspoons Garden of Life Super Seed. Add 1 raw egg. Add 2 tablespoons (or more) Virgin Coconut Oil. Add about 1 inch piece of aloe vera plant leaf (raw). (Cut the green part away first.) Add some fresh fruit. I usually use about 1 cup strawberries and frozen strawberries when I can't get fresh. However I have tried lots of other fruits with great success including a whole apple that has been cored first, but not peeled. If you need sweetner try a couple of drops of Stevia. Depending on your taste, you might also want to add a tablespoon of vanilla. When you use the frozen strawberries it's like having strawberry softserve (like the dairy queen).
The egg and goatein are there for the protien content. You know why the VCO is there. and the fruit is for flavor. Super seed is for fiber. and the Aloe is just good for you.
Hope you enjoy it.
